The RAM 4130 Dirt Jump Prototype

Published on May 16, 2008

Joe @ RAM Bikes UK has just received the first prototype of their new 2009 Ram 4130 dirt jump frame. Joe tells me that there are a few tweeks to be made (cable routing along bottom of top tube instead of the top and also the seat tube being an inch shorter being the main two), but other than that she rides like a beauty.

The frame, as the name suggests is constructed from light weight 4130 Cromo and has a integrated headtube for a low front end. With ISCG mounts, horizontal dropouts and a choice of disc or V-brake, it’s a proper strong hardcore DJ frame.

Price wise you are going to be looking at under £300 for the production frame, and there will be complete bikes finished with top kit including RockShox Argyle Forks, Alex Rims on Formula Hubs, Avid Juicy Brakes, Maxxis Tyres, Truvativ Cranks, Bars and Stem and SDG I-Beam Post & Saddle.
