Rachel Atherton in collision with car

Current World Champion Rachel Atherton has sustained a dislocated shoulder after a head on collision with a car whilst training in Santa Cruz, California.

Sven Martin, Professional Mountain bike photographer was quoted saying “Rach hit a car at the beginning of a time trial, head down sprinting. She saw it last minute and they both swerved the wrong way. She is lucky to be alive honestly.”
